RUNNING FOR: 2nd Legslative District
Bio: Kevin J. Meaker serves as the Onondaga County Legislator for the 2nd District, bringing nearly a decade of elected public service and more than two decades of experience in real estate and small business.
Before joining the County Legislature, Kevin served as a Town of Clay Councilor from 2017 through 2023. He was first elected to the Onondaga County Legislature in 2023 and currently serves on the Planning & Economic Development and Environmental Protection Committees, as well as the Onondaga County Youth Board.
Throughout his public service, Kevin has focused on keeping taxes affordable, supporting public safety, strengthening programs for seniors, veterans, children and families, and preparing Onondaga County for the unprecedented economic growth surrounding Micron and other major investments. He believes growth must be accompanied by responsible infrastructure, housing, environmental protections and careful stewardship of taxpayer dollars.
Professionally, Kevin owns and operates his own real estate brokerage and has spent more than 20 years working in real estate, property management and small business. He is a graduate of Bryant & Stratton College with an Associate Degree in Business Management.
Kevin has also spent years volunteering in the community, including coaching youth sports, working with Meals on Wheels, serving as a DAV volunteer driver and supporting numerous local organizations and community programs.
Above all, Kevin believes public service is about being accessible, listening to residents and helping people navigate government when they need it most. He remains committed to providing independent, experienced and responsive representation for the residents of Onondaga County’s 2nd District.
